I received a follow-up email from Jason’s girlfriend.

email November 5th

Hello,

My friend Gabe Calton gave me your email address. I am Jason Deel’s girlfriend of 3 years. This has been the hardest thing I have ever been thru. Jason and I are more that we are best friends. We’ve been to so many races together we live close to Bristol and have season tickets we go to charlotte and other places. Jason loves nascar so much and he would appreciate all the prayers. If anyone wants to send E-Cards they can go to http://www.ohiohealth.com/homegrant.cfm?id=321 and click send E-Card he is in Grant Medical Center.

Thank you so much for everything

I attached a photo of Jason and I today at the last Bristol race. He has a Kahne shirt on but dont get me wrong he is a GORDON ONLY fan 🙂 he lost a bet and had to wear the Kahne shirt.

since Charlotte NC (Carolina Regional Medical ) has one of the best neuro trauma intensive care centers in the nation maybe there is something someone there can do to get him transfered. Charlotte also has one of the best rehab centers around. I know they have taken hopeless cases and found hope buried under all of the negative prognosis that so often comes from this type of injury.

Hello,

I just wanted to say that jhook (Jason Deel) means the world to so many people and we all love him very much. We can’t wait untill hes back up and at em. He eats, sleeps and breaths Jeff Gordon and has always stuck by his driver even in the toughest of times just like were sticking by jhook now and it would mean the world to him if is driver could do the same and stick by him in the toughest of his times. Please keep Jason in your prayers.

Love,
JD Hunt

Any recent updates on Jason’s condition? I think about him every time I come over to read the blog and see his photos. Hope he is improving.

Here is a web site that you can visit to keep up on jason’s progress:
http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/jasondeel
As of Friday 12/12 he had the part of removed skull replaced on that Wed and was relocated to a rehab center in ATL.

Thanks for checking in.
